Events at the GRC - OCTOBER 2026

Hello Everyone! After the closure of the Rubia Centre this Spring due to smoke damage from the warehouse fire next door, the Centre was forced to evacuate and find other quarters for a couple of months until the insurance claim was settled and a deep cleaning took place by the Restoration Company. We're very pleased to report that the Centre has now reopened (late September) and all operations are back to normal for members and the public that rents the facility or would like to.

Sincere thanks for everyone's concern and support during this challenging period and we look forward to continue to serve our members and the public with rentals and other special events going forward. We're also very appreciative of the in-kind and financial support received from generous donors.

Fall officially began on September 22nd so enjoy the changing weather and the beautiful colors from all the many trees in the City of St. John's that are now changing with the season. Don't forget that Daylight Savings Time will end on happen on Sunday, November 1st at 2:00 am at which time you'll have to turn your clocks back one hour, so you'll get an extra hour of sleep. Bye for now!

Reminder: Lunches are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays (see menu).
